COLLABORATIVE.
YOU WILL NEED A TIMER.

Summary: A group plays three or more cards to tell a collaborative tale. This is a more advanced game because it has little structure. If children are playing, adults should be present.

First round: The oldest person in the group randomly chooses one card from the deck. By majority vote, players may choose a new beginning card. The first person identifies the main character. Players then proceed clockwise to describe the character and setting.
Second round: A second person chooses a new card randomly from the deck. The person who drew the card introduces the main issue the character is facing. You can use elements from either of the two cards to develop the problem, but try not to add too many characters or new details. Go around in a circle and give everyone a chance to contribute.

Third round: A third person chooses a new card randomly from the deck. The group works together to conclude the story using at least one element from the third card. The group can decide to draw more cards, but stories with more than four cards can be difficult to resolve.

Variation for advanced players
Ages 9 and up. 2-4 players.

In Round One, every player is dealt two cards. The players select one of their cards as their own beginning card. Starting with the youngest player, each person starts to tell a story about their card. Each player speaks for no longer than 90 seconds and only talks about their own card.

In Round Two, players again take turns. This time, they attempt to weave the different story strands together using the cards already placed out. Again, each player speaks for no longer than 90 seconds each. Players can choose to take multiple turns for this round. In Round Three, one player randomly turns over a card from the deck. This is the ending card, and players have up to two turns to conclude the story so it incorporates elements from the ending card.
